What's Your Sign?

I've been doing a ton of research since I pitched a series of 12 novellas to eXtasy Books. My editor Jay gave me the go ahead to start writing and my first novella Midnight Encounters will be released August 1, 2009. The rest of novellas will follow every other month.

For the past two weeks, I have been immersed in books on horoscopes, astrological signs and a book based on the specific date of your birth.

For example, I am an October 7th baby. A Libra, the sign of the scales. Libra's are indecisive one moment and then suddenly rash and impetuous the next. Others are likely to be caught off guard by the strong will Libra's keep hidden. This makes the Libran a staunch supporter for causes they believe in. The date also shows that Libras waffle between periods of intense energy to bouts of quiet do nothingness.

Is this me? Yup, more than I even care to admit. I am a big waffler but once I make my mind up, there's no going back. I am a fierce opponent when I believe in something or someone and will fight to the bitter end to prove a point. In regard to waffling, I've been known to write 42 pages in a weekend, then do nothing but read for the next three or four days straight.

A very dear friend Stephani Hecht was born on November 25th. This makes her a Sagittarius. Here's what the book says about Stephani. She has a vivid imagination and possibly psychic. The Sagittarius is deeply sensitive to the needs of others. People born on this day tend to be writers (hello), publishers, artists, musicians or actors. The love life and have lots of affection to share.

Is this Stephani? In my humble opinion, yes it is. Stephani has a very vivid imagination. Just look at the cast of characters she has created for her Angel series. She is the kindest, most caring person I have ever met in my life. Always there with a kind word to cheer you up, a pat on the back when you need it, and a shoulder to cry on should times get tough. And she really loves life.

So what do you all think? Those of you out there that know Stephani and myself, are the 'books' right? Is this us? We might surprise you someday and do something totally out of character.
Until then, take care. Patti

Okay...I was born on June 21...yeah, I know, Summer Solstice. And it has made me look at all the signs carefully because of the fact it can go either way. Some say Gemini and others say Cancer. I say there are days when can display both signs.

What did you find out about someone born on a solstice?

i'm an aries and i do charts for my characters. as for sun signs, some points in the descriptions ring true but there are other factors that need to be taken into consideration -- like the rising signs and moon signs. there are times i tend to be more like my rising sign than my sun sign.
best of luck on your series!
